Drinking water

Water without:

  • Bacteria (E. coli, legionella, and all others)
  • Algae, fungi, and viruses
  • Nitrogen compounds
  • (ammonium, ammonia, nitrite)
  • Trihalomethane (THM)
  • Slime, - corrosions, - deposits
  • Heavy metals (iron, manganese, etc.)
  • Other pollutants

One of our most important foodstuffs is our drinking water - without water there is no life. The German drinking water ordinance makes high demands on water treatment. So the available drinking water has to fulfill several points:

  •  Free from germs, bacteriae, and microorganisms
  •  Free from odor and taste
  •  Colorless
  •  Free from harmful contents

Providing clean drinking water is one of the most elementary and most important tasks in water treatment. The water treatment method most used is chlorination. But with this method  there are often unwelcome side-effects. Because of the chlorinating effect of chlorine, chloramines can arise during disinfection-, which, according to current scientific knowledge, can develop into intermediate compounds- that are partially cancerous.

Furthermore, chlorination has negative effects on the odor- and taste properties of water. The legal limits of chlorine content do not guarantee a safe elimination of bacteriae, such as legionella.

Cealin offers three patented alternative methods which have been proven and established over years in practice.
